The soulknife is a hyper-specialized type of psionic manifester. Rather than the broad command of the world that most manifesters boast, soulknives choose instead to master one potent trick: they can create weapons from their minds. Frequently underestimated, soulknives are potent skirmishers and ambushers who specialize in bypassing defenses and eliminating single targets.
This soulknife operates in the timespan of a single heartbeat. Every move is faster than lighting and every strike as strong as thunder. A bladerush soulknife rushes around the battlefield and focuses on picking off key targets, darting in and out of danger as he does.

The soulknife has a base daily allotment of power points given on the table above. In addition, he receives bonus power points per day if he has a high Wisdom score. His race may also provide bonus power points per day, as may certain feats and items.
The soulknife does not learn any powers, but levels of soulknife still count as manifester levels. When taking levels in a prestige class that allows a character to advance his manifesting ability as though taking another level in an existing manifesting class, the character may select soulknife to advance the enhancement bonus on his mind blade as if another level of soulknife was taken.
Additionally, when taking the Expanded Knowledge feat, the soulknife may use one-third of his soulknife level, rounded down, as the highest level of power he may learn. For example, a 6th level soulknife taking Expanded Knowledge would be able to learn a power up to 2nd level.
As a move action, a soulknife can create a semisolid blade made of pure psychic energy distilled from his own mind. Such blades are identical in all ways (except visually) to short swords of a size appropriate for its wielder. For instance, a Medium soulknife can create Medium mind blades that he can wield as light weapons, and the blades deal 1d6 points of damage (crit 19-20/x2). The wielder of a mind blade gains the usual benefits to his attack roll and damage roll from a high strength bonus. Mind blades are treated as magical weapons for the purpose of bypassing damage reduction.
The moment the soulknife stops holding one of his mind blades, it vanishes. Mind blades thus cannot be dropped, stored, or given to another creature, even another creature capable of generating mind blades. A soulknife can only hold one mind blade in each hand.
A soulknife may select Mind Blade as a weapon for the purpose of feats that require a specific weapon choice, such as Weapon Focus.
At 2nd level, and every two levels thereafter, the mind blade gains a cumulative +1 enhancement bonus on attack rolls and damage rolls.
Even in places where psionic effects do not normally function (such as inside of a null psionics field), a soulknife can attempt to sustain his mind blades by making a DC 20 Will save. On a successful save, the soulknife maintains his mind blades and does not need to make another check for a number of rounds equal to his class level. On an unsuccessful save, all mind blades within the nonpsionic area vanish. If the soulknife was in the area during the failed save, he loses the ability to manifest mind blades until the beginning of his next turn.

A soulknife may apply his Dexterity bonus instead of his Strength bonus to his attack rolls with a light mind blade as if he had the Weapon Finesse feat. The soulknife is considered to have the Weapon Finesse feat for the purposes of meeting prerequisites. Anything that uses this feature as a substitute for Weapon Finesse does not apply any bonus to weapons that are not mind blades.
At 2nd level, the soulknife gains the ability to maintain his mind blades long enough to throw them. Mind blades are thrown with a range increment of 30 feet. A mind blade that is not thrown dissipates normally.
Whether or not the attack hits, a thrown mind blade then immediately dissipates. All of a soulknife's special abilities may be used in conjunction with a thrown mind blade.
As a move action, a soulknife of 3rd level or higher can imbue a single mind blade with destructive psychic energy. This effect deals an extra 1d8 points of damage to the next living, nonmindless target he successfully hits with the charged mind blade. Creatures immune to mind-affecting effects are immune to psychic strike damage.
A mind blade deals this extra damage only once when this ability is called upon, but a soulknife may imbue his mind blade with energy again by taking another move action to do so. If the blade strikes an opponent who is immune to psychic strike, the ability is not expended.
Once a soulknife has prepared a mind blade for a psychic strike, it holds the energy until it is used or until it dissipates (such as by being broken or dropped). A soulknife may have multiple mind blades charged with psychic strike at once.
At every two levels beyond 3rd, the extra damage from a soulknife's psychic strike increases by 1d8.
At 5th level, whenever the soulknife uses a move action to move, he may charge Psychic Strike one one of his mind blades as a free action.
Starting at 6th level, a soulknife may materialize a mind blade as a free action instead of a move action.
At 6th level, a soulknife gains the ability to create new types of mind blades. When creating a mind blade, the soulknife may choose to replicate a longsword or a bastard sword instead of a shortsword.
Additionally, he may choose to forego some of a mind blade's enhancement bonus to create it with any of the special abilities given on the table below. The blade's enhancement bonus decreases by an amount equal to the enhancement bonus value of the ability. All mind blades must be formed with at least a +1 enhancement bonus.

Beginning at 12th level, when a soulknife charges a psychcic strike, he can choose to substitute Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma damage (his choice) for extra dice of damage. For every two dice of damaage he gives up, he deals 1 point of damage to the ability score he chooses. A soulknife can combine extra dice of damage and ability damage in any combination.
The soulknife decides which ability score his psychcic strike damages and the division of ability damage and extra dice of damage when he imbues the mind blade with psychic strike energy.
At 15th and 18th level, a soulknife gains a bonus feat. The soulknife must still meet all prerequisites for the bonus feats.
This soulknife uses swarms of psychic blades to strike with overwhelming force. Filling a role somewhere between an assassin and a battlemage, these warriors are at their best when they can take time before a fight to prepare for their signature bladestorm attacks.

At 9th level, a soulknife may telekinetically hurl many mind blades at once. As a full round action, the soulknife can make one attack at his highest base attack bonus against a number of targets within 30 feet that does not exceed his current number of manifested mind blades. Each attack is made with a different blade, and the soulknife may freely choose which targets to attack with which blades. If any target is within melee range, the soulknife may choose to resolve the attack against that target as a melee attack, otherwise the attack is considered a ranged attack.
Psychic strike and other effects that modify the soulknife's mind blades apply to these attacks. After this attack, all thrown mind blades disappear as normal.

At 18th level, the soulknife's bladestorm ability improves. When using bladestorm, the soulknife may direct any number of blades to attack one additional target before vanishing. The soulknife must spend 3 power points for each blade directed this way. A target that has already been attacked by a different blade cannot be the new target of any other blade, and all targets must be within 30 feet of the soulknife.
