Ever-eager and always ready to act, humans are mundane folk who nonetheless tend to see the world as their collective canvas. Whether for self expression or family tradition, charity or conquest, humans are almost always trying to leave a mark with their short lives.
Humans have short generations which give them an incredible range of appearances, but they also have a knack for travel that prevents most groups of humans from becoming distinct enough to be considered a truly different type of human. As such, great variations can be found among them despite a few general trends holding true.
Humans are relatively tall and muscular compared to their peers. Humans have warm skin tones in a wide range of colors, generally trending between a pale straw color and deep brown. Their eyes are most often brown, green, or blue, but with occasional reds, yellows, and purples that generally hint at supernatural origins. Similarly, human hair colors are usually some shade of brown or black that turns gray with age, but some rare examples of dusty blues and reds are known to exist. Exotic hair and eye colors are generally seen as desirable in human communities, but this is not a hard-and-fast rule.
Stylistically, humans tend to take after others and blend aspects of foreign styles to create new looks. They will often take the clothing style of whatever the local majority is, but blend in foreign jewelry and hairstyles for any number of reasons. Human females tend to wear their hair long and human males tend to wear short facial hair, though styling habits vary tremendously.
Humans, collectively called mankind, are the namesake of humanoids. They are relatively tall and muscular, with skin that tends between tannish-brown and nearly white, with hair that runs the range from blond to brown to black with the occasional dull blue, green, or red. Men sometimes style out their facial hair, and it is not uncommon for humans (usually male) to partially or entirely shave the hair on their heads. Human fasions vary wildly, and many will take up local cultures of tattoos or body piercings - often with very little understanding of the actual traditions involved.
Humans range from a little over 5 feet to right around 6 feet in height, with most taller outliers being male and most shorter outliers being female. Males weigh about 150 to 200 pounds, and females range from 100 to 160 pounds. They reach adulthood at around 16 years and tend to live around 75 years.
Humans are native to Alderia, and while they are rarely a majority outside their homeland, they can be found nearly everywhere. Their collective passion for exploration and new experiences is seen by some as greed, but humans embrace it. They value action over understanding, making them both admirably brave and dangerously impulsive. For this reason, a human's reputation is a fickle thing among other races, with humans demonstrating remarkable competence one moment and utterly embarassing themselves the next.

Dragonborn are humans who can trace their bloodlines back to dragons. While they retain a generally human appearance, they carry their lineage in visible ways. They tend towards more exotic hair colors, and many have hair of the color of their draconic origin. Skin tones can be similarly tinted, and in many cases a dragonborn may exhibit noticeable colored scales along the joints, forearms, brow, spine, and chest. While many try to hide these features, especially the offspring of evil dragons, just as common are those who emphasize these marks of heritage with tattoos.
Dragonborn are usually taller than normal humans, but not by a significant margin. They do, however, tend to be noticeably more dense. Males tend to weigh 180 to 230 pounds, with females weighing 130 to 200 pounds.
Dragonborn are exceedingly rare, but most can be found in the northern part of Alderia. Weybluff, the aptly monikered City of Dragons, is by and large the most common place to find them. There, they tend to embrace draconic culture and are outspoken advocates of tradition and law. Elsewhere in the world, they chafe against persecution and often find themselves lumped in with the likes of half-orcs, especially those dragonborn with chromatic dragon heritage. The common thread among all dragonborn is an incredible stubbornness and a natural sense of pride.
Dragonborn have the dragonblood subtype. This enables dragonborn to take dragonblood feats.
Dragonborn gain a bonus dragonblood feat at 1st level.
