Noble

"Unite your powers, o shattered nations! Do not be as wild animals, only seeking to hold that which you can fit within your jowls; rise now and stand as noble men who embody the divine gift of ambition!"

- Zebulon the Peacemaker, first emperor of Alderia

Background

Nobles are any characters who grew up among the nobility. They can be dukes, mayors, bureaucrats, marquises, entrepreneurs, and heirs of all kinds. Nobles are defined by having wealth, connections, and wealthy connections.

Nobles are something of an odd-one-out among the backgrounds. Instead of honed experience that grants a more reliable set of skills, nobles gain influence. Their time is spent forging political alliances and learning the weaknesses of distant rivals. Nobles are balanced around this ability to leverage outside power during non-combat encounters and may vary the most depending on your Game Master. Make sure you understand what your noble lineage will mean in the scope of your campaign before committing to this background.
