Skills
Skills are a broad category for all of a character's general abilities, as well as a way to break down attributes into more specific rolls. Each time a skill check is needed, the GM first determines which skill should apply to the roll. Then, any relevant attribute scores are added. The total then becomes the dice pool that is rolled.
Typical characters begin play at 1st level with 30 points to assign between skills and specializations.
