Poster Moss
Poster moss is a rare type of moss found in underground caves. Is grows in damp, dark areas, especially near decomposing organic matter such as rotting plants or dead animals. It can be identified by its distinctive teal color and faint blue glow caused by bioluminescent chemicals.
When disturbed, the moss releases a potent liquid neurotoxin that can paralyze and kill large animals in minutes. The bodies of these animals then decompose to provide nutrients for more moss. It is named for the presence of missing persons posters that are indicative of its presence near towns and settlements, as people have been known to carelessly wander into caves filled with poster moss and never return. In some cases, its color has been mistaken for deposits of mythril?, sometimes earning it the name fool's mythril.
Poison
Poster moss is sometimes used as a poison. Because of its extreme potency, it can be applied in nearly any way and still be lethal in very small doses.
In-game
Exposure to poster moss requires an Endurance/Resolve roll of 6 to resist the poison. On a failure, your Endurance decreases by 3 and you become exhausted. Even if you succeed on the roll you become drowsy, replicating the effects of exhaustion for the next round.
